About Me

Whether dancing, walking, improvising, or giving a Feldenkrais lesson, I enjoy exploring and discovering movement. I never cease to be amazed by how much there is to be learned about the human body and movement.

My first education was a BA in psychology from the University of New Hampshire. While studying I ‘accidently’ stumbled into a dance class. This was the beginning of a professional dance career, which led me into many different countries and through many movement styles and experiences. After studying dance I toured internationally with the Parsons Dance Company (NY), Elisa Monte Dance Company (NY) and Cie DRIFT (Zurich) for 15 years. In 1997, I was awarded the ‘Werkjahr’ stipend by the city of Zurich given each year to artists of outstanding merit.

Curiosity about anatomy and how my body functions led to my certification in the Feldenkrais Method in 1999, as well as in the Gyrotonic Expansion System and Gyrokinesis in 1997.

I have been working in Zurich as a Feldenkrais teacher since 1999 and maintain my own praxis. I also am part of the preventitive health care team at the Swiss health center Santemed in Zürich-Wiedikon.

Besides working with the Feldenkrais Method and Gyrokinesis, I am active as a dance and movement educator. I receive regular invitations to teach Movement Research Studies, and Contact Improvisation classes for dance companies, performing arts institutions, as well as workshops both locally and abroad. I also maintain a regular exchange with local artists in the field of improvisation.
